BeeSolver is building a medical courier platform that connects drivers and dispatchers through a React Native driver app and a Laravel web admin panel. Dispatchers create and assign deliveries, follow drivers on a live map and receive a scanned, signed record of every handoff, while the platform is designed around privacy requirements for medical deliveries.
Medical couriers move time-sensitive items such as specimens between hospitals, labs and clinics. Our client needed one platform that gives dispatchers visibility and gives every package a traceable path from pickup to handoff.
We mapped each stage of a delivery, from job creation and assignment to pickup, transit and handoff, before designing screens.
A React Native app for drivers and a Laravel web admin panel for dispatchers, sharing one backend and one source of delivery data.
Location is captured with background tasks and sent in batches rather than as a constant stream, balancing visibility with battery life.
Screens and notifications show only what each user needs, and push alerts carry no sensitive delivery details.
React Native lets one codebase serve drivers on both iOS and Android, with access to the camera, background location and push notifications the app relies on. Laravel provides a mature foundation for the API and admin panel, including authentication, role-based access, queues and a clear data model for jobs and handoff records.
Cross-platform driver app for iOS and Android from one codebase.
Backend API and web admin panel for jobs, users and delivery records.
Relational storage for companies, drivers, jobs and handoff records.
Push notifications for job assignments and status updates.
Maps, address lookup and driver locations in the admin panel.
Camera access for barcode scanning and seal photos in the driver app.
Problem
Continuous GPS updates give dispatchers detailed visibility but can drain a driver's phone during a long shift.
Our Approach
Locations are collected by background tasks and uploaded in batches, so the app reports progress regularly without keeping the radio active all the time.
Problem
Mobile operating systems limit what apps can do in the background, which can interrupt location updates when the app isn't open.
Our Approach
Background location tasks are configured within each platform's rules so updates continue while drivers use other apps or lock their phones.
Problem
Without a reliable record, it's hard to confirm when a package changed hands and who received it.
Our Approach
Each pickup and delivery requires a barcode scan and recipient signature, saved as a timestamped proof of delivery that dispatchers can review.
Problem
Push notifications can appear on lock screens, where patient or specimen details could be seen by others.
Our Approach
Notifications only say that a job needs attention; details are shown after the driver opens the app.
Each delivery ends in a scanned, signed handoff record.
Dispatcher sets up the job in the web admin panel.
Push alert with no sensitive details.
Package barcode scanned with the phone camera.
Location sent in batches, shown on the admin map.
Delivery scan and recipient signature.
Timestamped proof of delivery for dispatchers.
BeeSolver builds driver apps, dispatch panels and tracking tools for healthcare logistics, with privacy considered from the first workflow map. Tell us about your deliveries and we'll show you how we'd approach it.
